The shop on Lipan street remains open
Mighty Tree is closing their dispensary located on Delaware street, near south Broadway in Denver. This move comes as a shock to many long-time fans of the brand and associated staff and grow team.
We had a chance to get in contact with Mighty Tree, and they had the following to say about the closure; "We closed it to save money, we weren’t selling enough product to keep it open so we consolidated to the other shop. We apologize for the inconvenience, not something we were anticipating really."
Despite the distressing news, there is a positive takeaway, as Coloradans and visitors can still shop with Mighty Tree at their Lipan location in north Denver off I-70. The Lipan establishment is their original storefront, and also houses their grow operation, so it only makes sense they'd retain this location. Mighty Tree products, including their standout brand, Mighty Melts, are also available at other dispensaries throughout the greater Denver area.
This situation is a microcosm of a shrinking market over the last couple of years, as many companies continue suffering through layoffs and reduced sales well into 2023. Macro-economic conditions are also forcing consumers to be mindful of their spending while budgets tighten across industries beyond cannabis.
Hopefully a majority of cannabis businesses find a way to weather the storm until the economy starts to bounce back, but if you have some favorite cannabis companies that deliver products that enhance your life, it's more important than ever to support them when it fits your budget.
