91 Chem VA Skunk By Solaris Farms (Las Vegas)

Updated: Nov 19, 2022

Strain: 91 Chem VA Skunk

Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: Hybrid

Genetics: Chemdawg x Unknown

Aroma (in jar and ground up): From the bag it has a pine scent with a touch of skunk. Upon grinding, it explodes with a classic diesel/gas sensation along with a candy-like sweetness.

Taste: Comes in with a sweet, fruity candy-like taste, but also has long spans of a buttery bread flavor.

How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Rather harsh, heavy lung pressure.

Medical or Recreational: Recreational

THC percentage: 26.3

Effects: Moderate-high sedation, brain lock, zoning in and out. Smoking this in the morning had me slumped on the couch and got my day off to a slow start. The effects felt heavy in the head and body.

Overall: Founded on June 1st, 2016, Solaris Farms has been performing large scale greenhouse cultivation in the Las Vegas area with a lens of professionalism in the cannabis industry. According to their website, they use the desert-hybrid greenhouse approach to maintain an eco-friendly footprint, along with a host of technical services for data tracking to enhance efficiency and scalability metrics. From looking at their website, their long term vision seems promising, and I hope they can keep putting out consistently quality products as they expand.

Getting into the 91 Chem VA Skunk strain itself, Solaris Farms provided an upper-echelon experience with this batch. Of my 3 Vegas reviews coming out this week, this was the best priced product, and the quality didn’t seem to take a hit. I enjoyed the seemingly fresh smell and taste, and the packaging date indicated that, as it was packaged 2 days prior (1.5 days technically speaking). The effects were certainly a great bang for the buck on the scale of the Las Vegas recreational market. When I’m back in Vegas, I’ll be sure to give Solaris Farms another try, and if you’re in the Vegas area, I’d suggest putting this in the evening or nighttime rotation.
