Apple Fritter By Antero Sciences

Updated: Nov 19, 2022

Strain: Apple Fritter

Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: Hybrid

Genetics: Sour Apple x Animal Cookies

Aroma (in jar and ground up): From the container it has a subtle sweet vanilla scent, but as soon as the buds get separated the fruitiness emerges, like red apples. Once it’s ground up, the fruitiness turns more rank.

Taste: This was a spicier batch of Apple Fritter, as I got a heavy sensation of cinnamon, with the sweeter fruitiness taking a backseat on the taste buds. After I sat on it for a week or two, I did find it got a little sweeter and dough-like.

How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Moderately harsh. I felt my lungs expanding quick on this one, but it didn’t overwhelm.

Medical or Recreational: Recreational

THC percentage: 27-32

Effects: Euphoric, enhanced mood, upbeat/vibrant. I found this cut of Apple Fritter particularly great for social situations. This would be perfect for a concert or musical jam session with some friends. Put me in a zone where I was calm/relaxed, but joyful to the point of excitement.

Overall: This is my first review for Antero Sciences, and I’m excited for more to come. Whenever I review a company for the first time, I like to check out their digital presence, and I found Antero’s website exceptional in what it needed to accomplish. I really liked the “About Page” giving exposure to the entire organization across management and grow teams.

As far as this batch of Apple Fritter in itself, it’s among the best I’ve tried in Colorado. One of the earliest sessions I had with it was with a good friend on 420. We consumed over 14 grams before dinner alone, but among all that, the flavor of this Apple Fritter was notable that day, as it cut through everything else we had already tried with its strong cinnamon pulls. The way it stood out flavor-wise in that crowded smoke rotation has stuck with me. Effects were top notch, and definitely warrants praise as something that can serve as a morale booster. This version of Apple Fritter can definitely make the rotation, especially for gatherings.

For those that have followed me for a while now, you may recall I have one previous review for the strain Apple Fritter in which I really enjoyed, and that batch was from Bloom County. I don’t think you can go wrong with either cut, but depending on what flavor profile you prefer, that may help direct your decision. I think Bloom’s is a little fruitier, favors red apples, but Antero’s favors the cinnamon and dough-like sensation. Let me know if you’ve tried both, would love to hear about it.
