Overall: A Cut Above has had an interesting 2024. If you dive into local communication channels concerning Colorado cannabis, it’s been widely discussed that A Cut Above’s recreational selection of quality strains and grows to pick from has drastically diminished. This is in stark contrast to 2020 when ACA on Broadway was considered one of, if not the best overall recreational shop in central Denver.
The interesting part of A Cut Above’s year comes when speaking of their medical grow operation. As of late summer 2024, I started grabbing some of their strains at Standing Akimbo on the medical side. I quickly noticed a high level of consistency and quality at a generous price point. This batch of Apples and Bananas is the apex of that pattern. The flavor encapsulates everything you’d want from a fruity-themed strain, and the effects pack a punch that’ll leave you satisfied. All in all, Apples and Bananas from A Cut Above will be in my rotation anytime I can find it. I hope ACA continues their medical grow practices they’ve recently been rolling on, while also finding a way to appease the recreational fanbase they’ve carefully built over time.
