Overall: I picked up 3 strains from Good Chemistry in Aurora after seeing an ad in which they refer to themselves as a “small batch grower”. Upon searching for metrics for what might be considered “small batch” in Colorado, I found a few definitions that set the number of plants around 100 or less, but also the techniques used to be mostly manual (hand trimming, feeding etc.). I looked through Good Chemistry’s website to find answers to some of these questions, but couldn’t confirm from the information provided. According to a former employee I spoke to, Good Chemistry wouldn’t fulfill the expectations of “small batch”.

Beyond this point though, I happened to enjoy just 1 of the 3 strains I picked up, I tried 5280 Gravy which is under their “GC Uniques” line, meaning only Good Chemistry has those genetics. I also tried the Watermelon Z, and that shares the same “small batch” classification as the Blueberry Muffin. I didn’t care for either one of these strains, as they both lacked flavor and effect, but the Blueberry Muffin featured some redeeming qualities. First and foremost, the flavor of the Blueberry Muffin was top tier. The team did an excellent job of maximizing the genetics in this regard. The high won’t overwhelm by any means, but it’s solid for any use-case in which you want to get subtle relaxation without feeling disoriented. I liked it in the midst of a busy work day where stress levels are high, but I can’t be absent-minded. For those circumstances, I’d put this back into the occasional rotation.
