Product: Bayou Bites 600MG Bugzie's Swamp Water
Taste: I got the elderberry flavor, so it was very sweet like a dessert syrup. Has a slightly lighter consistency than syrup though, so easier take by itself if you wanted. For the plant scavenger hunt in the video above, my wife, her friend and I all took a straight shot glass worth. You can taste some of the cannabis, and as I've said previously, that's my preference. You mostly get the cannabis in the aftertaste though, as the flavoring hit the palette upfront pretty strong.
Effects: For the plant scavenge hunt, my wife and I smoked a single J from Aurora to Boulder (45 minute drive) and then had a shot of the swamp water. My wife's friend didn't smoke at all, and isn't as much of a habitual smoker. Between the 3 of us it took about 30-45 minutes to kick in (faster for my wife and I since we smoked). The easiest way for me to describe my state was "off-kilter", as in not in the usual, expected, or correct condition...I was high AF...I felt like my motor skills were a bit compromised while walking on the trail. When we started I was attentively taking notes about each plant, but by the end all I could do was just note what the plant was called and keep it moving. I wasn't trying to concentrate that hard. Before this review I also tried the swamp water by itself during the work week to help get to sleep. I took a couple capfuls around 10:30pm, and dosed off some time after 11:30-11:45 or so.
Overall: This is one of the best liquid edibles I've tried in my experience. It doesn't take much to pack a punch, and it's a pretty long lasting punch at that 👊🏾. For this plant scavenge hunt it added a whole new level of adventure💯 In addition, it's amazing to hear about all of the medicine and nourishment we have in our own backyard. I've always been opposed to big pharma, but this was yet another reminder that we mostly already have everything we need in nature🌿🌲🌾
