Genetics: (Trainwreck x Mothership) x (Straight Fire x Animal Cookies)
Aroma (in jar and ground up): Fruity, subtle peach aroma from the bag, then gets more gassy and fusty upon grinding.
Taste: The onset of flavor is mostly bright and fruity, but as it burns, it becomes more of that raw, mineral and rubber profile.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Smooth
Medical or Recreational: Currently unreleased, in the process of narrowing phenotypes and genetic choices.
THC percentage: 23
Effects: Relaxed, focused, euphoric. Really comes in handy to take the edge off if you’re uptight.
Overall: 2022 should be a tremendous year for Volta Fiore. The latest batch of strains I was blessed to preview in the second half of this year have been top tier, as with their limited previous efforts. I’m really excited for the Colorado cannabis community to experience this flower soon as Volta makes their way into dispensaries on a regular basis.
The last time I had the strain Train Wreck itself was on the black market back in 2008, and to this day it remains one of my most notable experiences with flower. The smell of that Train Wreck had my entire vehicle smelling like a grow room. Finding out this cross contained Train Wreck sparked my enthusiasm. “2015” is a specific seed contained by Volta, but I assume that’s where this cut picked up some of its fruit-like traits.
The flavor profile was clean, robust, and transient. The effects are clutch if you’re feeling a little down or out of it. Rejuvenation is the essence of this cut, and that’s what made this one of my favorites in the latest collection from Volta. Without a doubt, I’m putting this cut in the rotation, as it’ll be one that can come in handy at any given time. The official name is to be decided, but an early consideration is “Burning Ship”, so hopefully you’ll find some in 2022.
