Strain: Chem Brulee
How it’s marketed: Hybrid
Genetics: Copper Chem x Lemon Brulee
Aroma (in jar and ground up): From the jar the aroma is reminiscent of cane sugar with an undertone of funk/musk. Upon grinding it gets much sweeter with a touch of citrus
Taste: Reminded me of a sweet pastry. Maintains a sugar-like profile.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Smooth
Medical or Recreational: Recreational
THC percentage: 21.1
Effects: Most times, I felt an overall well-balanced high, laden with relaxation. Easy to zone out and become mindless for a while. One night, it was my first smoke of the day and it hit me more heavily with sedation.
Overall: I first heard about Dro Flower around mid 2020, shortly after the launch of the CCC Culture Instagram. During that time, I interacted with some fellow cannabis enthusiasts who swore by their product. Fast forward to 2023, and I finally ran across a neighborhood dispensary carrying their products.
For my first try, I’m pleased overall with Dro Flower. This batch of Chem Brulee is only the second time I’ve tried this strain, but it is the best version I’ve tried. The expected sweetness comes in strong, and the smoke gently accents the lungs with an overall smoothness. The effects are consistent, and tend to lean into the time of day in which consumption takes place - meaning in the daytime the relaxation is settling, while later in the evening it’s a little more sedative.
Based on this experience, I think Dro Flower offers a clean, smooth smoke at a competitive price, and I’m not mad at anybody doing that in the 2023 Colorado cannabis market. For those reasons, I’d put this cut back in the rotation, and I’m intrigued to try more of their offerings in the near future. Lastly, it’s pretty easy to find their drop information and genetic details on their website and social media, making it convenient to be a repeat customer. Salute to the team at Dro Flower.
