Cherry Lime Soda by Greendot Labs

Strain: Cherry Lime Soda

How it’s marketed: Hybrid

Genetics: Citradelic Sunset x Cherry Fluff

Aroma (in jar and ground up): Packaging mentions sour cherry limeade, and that’s highly accurate from the jar. As it continued to sit, the aroma evolved into more of a lime zest. The sensation of lime zest grows upon grinding.

Taste: Fulfills the cherry limeade profile as advertised, but gets that tart, sour lime zest feel the more it burns.

How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Mostly smooth to moderate

Medical or Recreational: Recreational

THC percentage: 22.06

Effects: In most experiences, I felt a balanced high between the head and body. Moderate sedation upfront throughout the body, but levels off to a more mentally relaxing, yet stimulating high. On one occasion, I had caffeine in my system and I felt raciness upfront upon smoking, but slowly came back to the familiar all around relaxation and sedation.

Overall: Cherry Lime Soda is unlike any other strain I’ve smoked because it has citrus-based terpenes, yet leans on the slightly heavier side. Usually anything with orange, lemon, lime or the like is associated with upbeat, energetic effects, but in this case, there’s a prominent counterbalance of sedation that never ceased to surprise me in my experiences. As noted in the effects section, depending on your state of mind and other factors, there’s times when the citradelic sunset, a cross of mandarine sunset x ghost train haze, can take over and cause more energetic to nervous/racy effects if consumed heavily. The flavor was on point in all experiences, and as it sat, the lime influence seemed to enhance and go to new heights. All in all, I’d be happy to pick up some Cherry Lime Soda from Greendot Labs again.
