Con Leche By Tyson Ranch (Las Vegas)

Updated: Nov 19, 2022

Strain: Con Leche

Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: Hybrid

Genetics: Triangle Kush x White OG

Aroma (in jar and ground up): Out of the jar there’s a heavy hit of diesel and some loud classic OG tones, while also giving off a hint of dill. Upon breaking down and grinding, stronger hints of caryophyllene come alive, which gives a similar sensation to rosemary (this terp is actually found in both plants).

Taste: Heavy on the petro, very gassy to begin. Early in, a candy-like sweetness adds to the flavor, making it incredibly robust on the palate. As I kept smoking it, I realized the sweetness is most similar to rosemary in nature, which again makes sense with the caryophyllene.

How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Mostly smooth

Medical or Recreational: Recreational

THC percentage: 20.48

Effects: Euphoric, relaxed yet upbeat, maintaining high levels of mental clarity with a subtle body high. Also happens to be a slow creeper, and after about 12-15 minutes, the level of sedation seems to increase. I smoked this in numerous scenarios with various friends and family, and every time I felt this pattern.

Overall: Las Vegas certainly has a healthy cannabis market for both medical and recreational selections, but one brand I was intrigued by was @TysonRanchOfficial (exclusively available in California and Las Vegas but coming to other markets). Growing up in the 90s, I witnessed and loved Mike Tyson the boxing icon, but as an adult it’s been inspiring to see his ability to rebrand himself as a calm, collected, and caring individual in the cannabis industry. Watching the HotBox Podcast he seems to appreciate the healing qualities of the plant.

The first time I smoked this Con Leche by Tyson Ranch was with a close friend while still in Vegas, and when I took the first hit I looked at him with a wide smile on my face. The taste immediately grabbed me, and the smoke was easy on the lungs. I was stunned by how much I liked the experience. When I returned home, I continued to feel the same way about it, and was excited to smoke some with friends and family.

I loved the packaging Tyson Ranch provides as it gives all the details of their lab testing and the associated terpene breakdown for each strain. This really helped to enlighten my review so I could speak more as a matter-of-fact for how the terps are present in this case.

Even with the premium brand price (luckily I got a medical discount at Planet 13) I'd keep this Con Leche from Tyson Ranch in the Vegas rotation. The quality was top notch in the aspects I usually seek out.
