Strain: Diesel Dawg
How it’s marketed: Indica
Genetics: Chemdawg x Sour Diesel
Aroma (in jar and ground up): From the jar, it’s essentially sour citrus. Smells sweeter after grinding.
Taste: As with the aroma, the flavor is sour with the citrus influence. Something like lemon zest.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Smooth
Medical or Recreational: Recreational
THC percentage: 28.27
Effects: Smoked this in the morning and felt moderate sedation and a creeping body high while also having trouble collecting my thoughts. Reserved this strain for casual, relaxing activities after this occasion.
Overall: Indico has long been a company I’ve consistently appreciated, but don’t run across as often with the shops I frequent. They grow genetics I don’t see anywhere else, and usually do it at a high level. This batch of Diesel Dawg was no exception. Despite being sold an older batch from the dispensary I bought it from, I was pleased with the quality of the product, even a couple months after the fact. I attribute some of this prolonged success to the packaging - a non-translucent white glass jar that had an extra vacuum-sealed layer at the top, like a bottle of Tylenol or Advil.
The effects were the greatest redeeming factor for this cut of Diesel Dawg, as they set in quickly, and can provide relief from a day of stress. The flavor was solid, and if you crave that sour sensation, you’ll especially appreciate this one. Next time I can get a jump on a fresh batch of this Diesel Dawg, I’d be quick to make the purchase for the evening/weekend rotation. Great job by the team at Indico.
