Strain: Kush Mints
Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: 50/50 Hybrid
Genetics: Bubba Kush x Animal Mints
Aroma (in jar and ground up): Straight out the jar, this strain smells sweet (like a subtle fruit scent with strong piney undertones. When I grinded this strain I was surprised to sense that the smell dissipated, which isn’t usually the case in my experience.
Taste: I got hints of mint/pine, and earthy.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Smoke is moderately smooth, but you will definitely want to take a slight break after a few puffs.
Medical or Recreational: Recreational
THC percentage: 15
Effects: Relaxed, tranquil, foggy
Overall: Personally, I didn’t know what to make of this batch of Kush Mints at first. I had high expectations, as I’ve heard of the strain, hadn’t tried it, and the budtenders vouched for it’s quality. When I sparked the joint, I got the hint of mints as expected, but it didn’t blow me away with it’s strong earthy undertones (just personal preference). I was wondering why this strain was so coveted, but it was probably this batch to be honest. 5 minutes in I was pretty high at least. Great example of THC percentage not dictating the feeling of potency (friends don't let friends choose strains based on THC). If you’re looking for something with a subtle taste outside of the norm, and effects that will mellow you out, this version of Kush Mints may be the strain for you, but this batch wasn't my personal favorite.
