Lemon Pepper (Cookies) By Veritas

Updated: Jan 2, 2023

Strain: Lemon Pepper

Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: Sativa-Leaning Hybrid

Genetics: Lemon Haze x GSC

Aroma (in jar and ground up): From the bag it smells like lemon, layered with a pungent, garlic-like aroma. Upon grinding, a little of the expected peppery tones accent an even more robust pungency.

Taste: First reaction was pretty sweet, which surprised me how much it contrasted the pungent, savory aroma, but it’s akin to the classic Cookies genetics. The sugar cookie taste became less pronounced as the joint burned, and the savory flavor of garlic and spice I was expecting came alive.

How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Mostly smooth

Medical or Recreational: Recreational

THC percentage: 20.89

Effects: Relaxed, focused, energized, upbeat, bright mood.

Overall: Over the several times I smoked on this batch of Lemon Pepper from Veritas and Cookies Colorado, it definitely gave me energy, and I liked using it mid bike ride, middle of the day while working, and in the morning to get going. I can honestly say I liked the taste more than I thought I would, as peppery/spicy/savory strains normally aren’t my forte, but after smelling it, I was craving that flavor. It threw me off with the sweetness to start, but I enjoyed it more as the matching savory flavor set in. I don’t know if I can stand in line for another Friday Cookies drop lol, these wait times are getting intense, and the increasingly heavy traffic is a bit concerning. I’m interested to see how this process evolves if Covid 19 restrictions become any tighter. Comment below, what do you think?
