Aroma (in jar and ground up): Classic gas/diesel from the bag with the slightest hint of citrus. Gets slightly louder with gas and a touch of lemon upon grinding.
Taste: GMO takes the lead on the palate, very gassy and dank, mostly diesel.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Pretty moderate lung pressure, slightly harsh.

Effects: Slumped, heavier body high. Feelings of relaxation set in quickly and fades to sedation.
Overall: I've had the pleasure of reviewing a few different Artsy Cannabis strains, but this is the first in a few months now. Every time I've had a strain crossed with anything citrus, I've come to expect something with uplifting qualities, but this cut of Lemon Royale is far from energetic.
When buying this strain at Standing Akimbo during an exceptional sale, I wasn't aware of the genetics, but once Artsy informed me of the GMO cross, everything clicked. This is one of those nighttime sleepy medicines with bold sedative effects.
The OZ I got lasted me a while as I reserved it for late night and weekend occasions, which is exactly how I'd put it in my rotation longterm. I loved this cut of Lemon Royale, and according to Artsy they've continued to dial it in for their upcoming harvest this month. Give this one a try if you're seeking something to keep you laid back.
