Strain: Pixy Styx
Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: Hybrid
Genetics: Grape Pie x Wedding Cake
Aroma (in jar and ground up): I was sitting on this batch for a while and noticed something interesting. When I first got it, the smell from the jar was super sweet, like the flavored sugar you’d associate with Pixie Stix, but over time it became more pungent, dank and gassy, but just as robust. Mostly same patterns upon grinding too. A friendly reminder about how cannabis can change traits over time like any other living organism.
Taste: Similar to my story with aroma, it changed over time, but the first few times I had this strain it tasted as advertised, very much like the famous powdered candy, sweet and fruity. Over time it became more savory.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Smooth
Medical or Recreational: Recreational
THC percentage: 28.68
Effects: Focused, wavy, easy-going, relaxed. Still maintaining lots of clarity, but feels like it's taking the edge off.
Overall: Pixy Styx was a strain I had been waiting to get my hands on, and once I did, I was delighted to find it packed everything I expected. Super sweet flavor as advertised with a mellow and balanced high. I enjoyed this strain so much I was saving it to smoke for certain times or with certain people I wanted to try it, and that’s what led to me having it long enough to witness how it changed over time. I’ll definitely keep this in the rotation for something I can smoke during my workday or for working out/post workout. Well done job by the team at Snaxland Colorado.
