Strain: Raspberry Dosido
How it’s marketed: Indica
Genetics: Do-Si-Do x Pink Champagne
Aroma (in jar and ground up): Heavily floral aroma from the jar, like potpourri that contains wood scents. There’s a hint of raspberry, but that explodes upon grinding, becoming the forefront aroma.
Taste: On the dry pull, the sweet berries and gas can be identified. The sweet berry sensation and funky undertones were still present throughout the burn as well.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Smooth
Medical or Recreational: Recreational
THC percentage: 33.20
Effects: Moderate to heavy sedation. This is one of those cuts where you take a few hits and quickly question whether to continue or put it out. During the day, I felt a cloud of haziness over my thought process.
Overall: Red Bird’s cultivation team, located in Washington State, openly celebrates its growing practices which include aeroponics, closed environment agriculture, and sustainability with low water and electricity usage. Aeroponics is a plant-cultivation technique in which the roots hang suspended in the air while nutrient solution is delivered to them in the form of a fine mist.
I was able to hit a Vancouver dispensary while visiting Portland, as these two cities are actually in close proximity (20-30 minutes), so something to keep in mind while visiting either location and you’re in the search for a shop. Long story short, I’m not usually a huge Dosidos fan, but this cross is the most preferred version of Dosidos I’ve come across. The Pink Champagne adds a unique, unforgettable flavor to a strong set of effects. It also pulls smooth on the lungs, so it checks all of the essential boxes. Anytime I’m back in the PNW, I’d be happy to add this cut in the rotation. Great job from the team at Red Bird.
