Strain: San Fernando Valley OG
Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: Sativa Dominant Hybrid
Genetics: OG Kush x Afghani
Aroma (in jar and ground up): Earthy and pungent out of the container. Ground up, the gas smell comes alive more.
Taste: Earthy and piney with undertones of gas. Lots of freshness upfront like a cucumber.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Mostly smooth, might need to adjust your throat a bit.
Medical or Recreational: Recreational
THC percentage: 29.93
Effects: I tend to be adverse to afghani and strains crossed with it, but if any cross was going to work for me, it’s OG Kush, one of my all-time favorite strains as far as head space. I definitely felt the OG shining through as I felt calm, collected, but also floating a bit in the body. The afghani cross provides just enough added intensity in this batch.
Overall: My first time trying flower grown by Mighty Tree and I can honestly say they put together a pretty good effort with this SFV OG. I haven’t had this strain in about 5-6 years since my favorite dispensary who grew it went out of business. This batch comes quite close to giving me that familiar flavor and effect I grew to love, and the flavor may actually be a little better than what I remember. The sedation of the Afghan set in after a while for me, so be aware of that if you have stuff to do.
