Strain: Silver Mountain
Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: Sativa-Dominant Hybrid
Genetics: Super Silver Haze OG x Appalachia
Aroma (in jar and ground up): From the jar it has a sweet herbal aroma, reminiscent of fresh basil. Upon grinding that sensation becomes a little stronger along with a little mustiness.
Taste: On the sweeter side with a subtle touch of basil flavor. Has tones of buttered baked bread throughout, a little sour.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Moderately harsh
Medical or Recreational: Recreational
THC percentage: 22.9
Effects: Invigorated, euphoric, subtle relaxation with increased focus, easy-going. Smoked this in the day and in the night, and felt energized and inspired in every instance. Indulging heavily will lead to zoning in and out of your surroundings.
Overall: This was my first time reviewing Host Cannabis, but they had been on my radar due to some of my followers recommending their flower. On their website they detail the nuanced nature of their grow facilities and cultivation methods, and also provide advanced stats such as terpene breakdowns on some of the latest drops (including Silver Mountain for those interested). This particular batch of Silver Mountain brought all of the desired goods I look for in a sativa or sativa-hybrid. I love the strain Super Silver Haze, so I was really excited to see a new cross boasting those genetics. The energy, clarity, yet lack of raciness or anxiousness meshes perfectly for an ideal smoke before running errands, working, or performing an important task. I will definitely put this back into my daytime rotation for the previously mentioned reasons, and also look forward to picking up another drop from Host Cannabis .
