Strain: Strawberry Bubba Cookies
Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: Hybrid
Genetics: Strawberry Cough x Bubba Kush x Girl Scout Cookies
Aroma (in jar and ground up): Out of the jar it has the aroma of an unripened fruit, a little earthy, a touch floral. Upon grinding it picks up some citrus tones with a little funkiness.
Taste: Rubbery, greasy to begin. Has hints of an unsweetened strawberry throughout along with a little vanilla. Wide range of flavor within the experience.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Very smooth
Medical or Recreational: Medical
THC percentage: 30-33
Effects: This strain hit pretty heavy, especially later at night. Moderate-heavy sedation and difficulty staying focused. Smoking this during the day made for a low-productivity time trying to get work done.
Overall: Kind Meds has held it down in the medical market in Denver exclusively serving medical card patients long before recreational cannabis became legal. The one thing I’ve always loved about this shop is the focus on in-house genetics and the exclusive strains they breed. This Strawberry Bubba Cookies is no exception, as it’s the first cross of it’s kind I’ve come across in any market.
With no previous writings readily available, the only point of reference I had for this strain was the genetic makeup in which I’ve tried all of them. The bubba kush takes the lead as far as effects, while the flavor truly encompasses all three strains. I’m anticipating this strain will continue to evolve and get refined over the next few cycles, so I’ll be checking in with Kind Meds, but at this time I’ll say this cut is on the bubble, very close to making the late-night rotation.
