Genetics: Strawberry Cough x Lemon OG
Aroma (in jar and ground up): Subtle herbal aroma from the jar, but the smell pops a little more with classic OG and a touch of citrus upon grinding.
Taste: Flavor is subtle, not intense, but reminded me of a tart strawberry.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Smooth
Medical or Recreational: Medical
THC percentage: 15.75
Effects: Subtle relaxation, and middling effects in general. I was hoping it would be more of a rejuvenation or uptick in energy, but when I tried it later at night after being tired, it did nothing in that department.
Overall: Shift Cannabis operates one dispensary on Lincoln street in Denver, and a factory outlet in Henderson, Colorado. You can find many of their products at different dispensaries across the state as well. According to their website, they use sustainable cultivation practices, and offer the following statement:
Our passion is cannabis, but our responsibility is the land, which causes us to pursue a host of environmentally responsible practices such as geothermal cooling, LED lighting, composting of biomass & media, and water recirculation and reuse.
It’s easy to appreciate a company that values the environment, and does its best to honor the vast natural resources we often take for granted in Colorado. Based on these practices, I’ll continue to try different strains from Shift. As for this cut of Strawberry Lemonade, it wouldn’t be a go-to choice for my rotation, as there were no signature effects or flavors that would readily bring me back, but the overall quality was solid.
