Tang Train Cookies By Affinity

Updated: Nov 30, 2022

Strain: Tang Train Cookies

Indica/Sativa/Hybrid: Sativa-Dominant Hybrid

Genetics: Tangie x Ghost Train Haze x Thin Mint Cookies

Aroma (in jar and ground up): Smell is very subtle from the bag, a hint of orange/tangerine, a bit peppery. The citrus becomes more pronounced after breaking down and grinding, but the pepper is still there.

Taste: Vanilla, sour, peppery, just a touch of citrus at times.

How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Moderately Harsh

Medical or Recreational: Medical

THC percentage: 24.18

Effects: Uplifted, fast-shifting focuses, relaxed, foggy in thinking.

Overall: The medical grow team for Affinity Dispensary consistently produces quality work, and I recognize the appeal of this strain, but at first I didn't think it was for me. I was pleasantly surprised by how relaxing this strain was, as I thought it would be much racier with the genetics, but the Thin Mints leveled it out enough. My biggest crux was the difficulty in thinking. When I smoke something uplifting in the daytime I seek productivity, and this just made my brain disappear, so I found it better for exercise and leisure sports. Additionally I was expecting more of the tangie flavor, as it usually dominates in crosses I’ve experienced. The vanilla shined pretty well, and accented with the subtle orange it was great, but the slight peppery notes aren’t my particular preference. It took some time to get used to, but I did find a place for this in my rotation, although I'm excited for the next batch of this strain, as I believe this was the first time this one came on the shelves, so I think it'll come back a little sharper (should be soon).
