Aroma (in jar and ground up): From the jar, I got a fresh vegetables or leafy green aroma with a hint of sweetness. Upon grinding it reveals a more robust sour cherry aroma.
Taste: Flavor is exactly as expected given the lineage. Tart cherry mixed with sweet citrus. A bit earthy at times.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Smooth

Effects: On most occasions, this strain sparked energy and motivation, but as the high sets in, thoughts become more difficult to sort. Has a creeping body high that brings balance to the experience after 10 minutes or so. Absent-mindedness also grows as the effects evolve. If you just want that initial spark of inspiration, it's a good idea to take it easy at first.
Overall: A birthday gift for my mother (3rd Eye Blind concert) landed my family and I in Colorado Springs. After sorting through local dispensary reviews, I decided to stop at Bobby Brown Best Buds (no relation to the R&B singer). They had a solid variety of freshly dropped, in-house strains that caught my attention. In this instance, the Trop Cherry looked unique for its light violet, dark pink hues, and the aroma was enough to keep my interest. Prices were also fair, and the budtender was knowledgeable about their grow and selection.
The Trop Cherry itself - wonderfully tricky. I kept thinking high productivity, then started to not think at all, or have too many thoughts at the same time while managing a body high. This cut from Bobby Brown was adventurous with the effects and pleasantly as expected on the palate. For my needs, I don’t usually seek out strains with rollercoaster-like varying effects, so this would be an occasional smoke at best for me personally, although I still acknowledge its unique qualities. Next time I’m in Colorado Springs, I’d give Bobby Brown another visit.
