Aroma (in jar and ground up): Out of the bag, it has a mildly sweet, yet sour aroma, would be reminiscent of a fruit-based yogurt. After grinding, it develops a louder stench of rotten fruit and expired dairy.
Taste: Largely as advertised, but there’s lots of nuance. On the intake, I got more of a floral flavor, but as it sits on the palate I get a better sense of the banana. The citrus commonly associated with “tropical” flavors (like sweet oranges) remains subtly intermittent in the background.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Mostly smooth, some lung pressure

Effects: Energetic, focused, alert, enthusiastic, relaxed. This tropical banana consistently put me in an ideal state of mind to run errands, get work done, and remain highly productive, even in the later evening hours. I found myself easing into workflows. It’s easy to overdo it with this strain though, as after a few inhales to get motivated, it can creep into lethargic territory, so use accordingly in my opinion.
Overall: Now that I’ve reviewed a trio of strains from Artsy Cannabis, I feel this up and coming company has established a sound quality product with very competitive pricing. Their website launches tomorrow (4/20/21), and you can find the link in their bio on Instagram.
I really enjoyed this batch of Tropical Banana, as I’ve been seeking a strain to keep me highly productive and non aloof when needed, but still allows me to relax and cut a lot of work-related anxiousness. The flavor/aroma were robust, and talking to the owner, he actually described the flavor profile similarly as “yogurt’s that’s been left at room temperature for 3-4 days”. This cut of Tropical Banana will definitely make the rotation for work during the week, or some late night gaming. I’m excited to witness how Artsy Cannabis grows and evolves as a company, and as of now, they have a customer in myself!
