Strain: Wild Space Ape
How it’s marketed: Indica
Genetics: Gorilla Breath x Tokyo Sunset
Aroma (in jar and ground up): From the bag, it has a subtle fruit candy aroma, and upon grinding it explodes into a robust artificial grape, similar to grape bubble tape or grape jolly ranchers.
Taste: Grape-Tape bubblegum or sweet grape kool-aid. A bit doughy at times.
How it Smokes (smooth, harsh etc.): Moderate
Medical or Recreational: Medical
THC percentage: 27
Effects: Moderate to heavy sedation on every occasion along with an uplifted mood. Late at night it was a quick ticket to sleep, and in the daytime it was relaxing/calming with a mild body high, while relaxing the mind. Easy to zone out.
Overall: First time trying anything from the company Colorado Chronic. I discovered them while shopping for an edible deal at Standing Akimbo. It's really tough to find information about them, as their Instagram page no longer exists, and they don’t have a website (if they do, the generic name and SEO make it non-existent). It’s a real shame too, because this batch of Wild Space Ape grown by them is one of the best strains I’ve experienced in 2023. It’s the quintessential constant fit for my tastes. I can consume it for everything from a quick hike or bike ride to a nighttime wind down. It strikes the target balance of sedation and inspiration, creating that magical versatility. The taste was top notch as well, and the flavor lasted throughout the burn of the joints. This one was special, and I hope to stumble across it again, as I’d put it in the anytime, any place rotation (outside of work). Great job by the team at Colorado Chronic company. If anyone has their contact information, leave a comment or message.
